The Watering Hole

It's been awhile since I've posted a thought experiment thread and a commercial I keep seeing for the Science channel made me think of this one.

If you had the ability to go back into time as an observer (i.e., able to see an event from any angle, but not actually be part of the event), which three events would you choose to see first?

Would you see who, exactly, was behind Kennedy's assassination?  See the beginning or end of Jesus?  Find the lost Ark or Holy Grail?  Check out the landing at Roswell?  Watch Babe Ruth predict his home run?  Eavesdrop on when your parents first met?

I'm still thinking about this one, but going back far enough to see if there really were advanced civilizations 12,000 years ago, discovering exactly how they built the pyramids and examining the Philadelphia Experiment are interesting candidates. :)
Craig, Yes those are all interesting but it would have to be the following:

1978  Portland's Memorial Colisium to relive the Boston / sammy Hagar concert ;D

the parents thing would be too weird and I dont think I cold do it. It would explain some of the dumb ass things that I do or dont do
If you're a true Christian, I think Christ would be the bulls eye
1994, Katrina Kidd stripping in the window above our backyard for me.
1) See the look on the face(s) of the dude(s) who invented the steam engine when they had that first eureka moment.

2) Circa 1983 - one weekend in particular of being absolutely drunk and stoned out of my mind. I went to a party and woke up in a field at 4 am, miles from anywhere covered in mud...and it was raining.   I would like to witness how the fuck I got there !

3) Every major event that has ever happened.
1) Led Zeppelin in concert in their prime.

2) Antony bonking Cleopatra.

3) Joan of Arc at her epiphany.
If I could go back in time, I would want to stay there and give myself some good advice, like buy Microsoft when it was first offered.

Heh, everytime someone makes the wisecrack to me "What, are you psychic?" I always think back to 1981 when I sold stock to go to Europe for 39 days and drink myself silly...  Imagine if I had simply taken the same amount of money and bought Microsquish stock!!!  :'(

Each thousand bucks worth of Microsnot stock at the first offering turned into a million. Not a bad return on your money. Hindsight is 20-20 for sure.

I'm guessing that's not even close!  Probably MUCH more than that actually...

I'd go back 3 minutes and tell myself not to waste three minutes on this stupid thread :D :D :D

but in order to go back 3 minutes, those 3 minutes must already have happened and therefore have already been wasted, so it would then be an even bigger waste of time  ;D
TTBB, you might want to go back 35 years or so and pay more attention in reading class if it took you 3 minutes to read this thread.   ;D ;D
I'm thinking the first would be to witness the amp sound EVH had that he has spoken about when he was young and had the most incredible sound out of some amp he was tooling around with....right before the tubes melted. Or something like that.

The second would be my very first date with Kaci. It was the perfect date, and I met the woman I will be sharing the rest of my life with. And there was some off the wall 'possum' joke that I'd like to re-visit during that first encounter....because neither of us remember it. We only remember laughing until we were crying about it. Go figger....

The 3rd would be the building of the Pyramids. I just wanna know how they did it back then.....
I'd like to go back to the original WHStock.  That was one of the most fun things I've ever done.

I have a picture of that on one of my computers somewhere. Sorry I missed it.
