Who works in a music store? Alchemist question

A few weeks back I read one of you works in a music store and did a review on the Bogner Alchemist when they arrived.

I have a friend on another forum I visit who is interested in those amps.

Any new feelings about the amp and how it sounds?

I saw the 2-12 yesterday at my GC. Man, what a sweeeeeet amp!! It literally stopped me in my tracks! I walked in, it was in the front and as soon as I saw it, WHAM! The guy started laughing and said, "Yep, we finally got it!" He said that the 1-12 went the same day they got it. It's a 20/40 watt with a lot of tiny little toggle switches. Very cool!

I went to thegearpage.net And I read most of the posts from page 14 or 15 through 18 and the reviews are mixed. I just have to go to GC and try one out myself. I hate to spend $1,100 on a head just for hobby purposes. But I heard my old lady is going to Greece and another yet unnamed vacation in May somewhere on the east coast or Caribbean, So if she does that I may just buy one because she is spending all that bread on useless vacations. (she gets the plane fare free or near free for the Greece trip because her sister is a travel agent)(but the hotel and rent a car costs will add up to the eleven bills easy). Trip to GC is an absolute necessity to try one out.
