As I write this it is 6.30pm on xmas eve.
Our hay got baled this morning, so I've spent most of the day picking it up from the paddock, putting on the trailer, taking it off the trailer, putting it in the hay shed, so I can put it back in the paddock in winter ::) . Having a small property, it is one of the annual jobs that I hate the most, but it's done now. I've showered, kicking back with a cold beer, and about to fire up the barbeque.

Thanks guys. Mom is actually feeling pretty good, so she'll get to enjoy Christmas, well, at least she'll feel good. I'm sure there will be some emotions that aren't so good for us all tomorrow...
I hope you all have a great Christmas. Daphne leaves for the Orange Bowl on the 31st, and I asked Santa for Amy to be wearing a naughty elf costume when I get home that night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. ;)

We've been laughing our ass off playing our new Wii.
Nice weather - looks bleak but xmas like.
I had a very nice day - but the really stand out moment is my sister telling me that I should tune my nephew's new guitar for him while pointing to the pair of guitar hero game plastic guitars in the corner by the tv.
Turns out he had a new and very nice acoustic - but it was upstairs at that time and I knew nothing about it.
So I was thinking wtf - she is taking the piss.

I and my lovely family were in Ixtapa, Mexico for the last week, enjoying 80 degree water and 85 degree days. Much better than back home, where, shockingly, we have got a week straight of frost in the mornings.
I am pleasantly chilled out, and getting ready to read through and catch up on 214 work e-mails. Ahh, joy.

Sorry I'm so late to the party but I've been VERY busy with the new band and some new equipment, etc. Just got a Line6 SpiderValve to go with the new strat! (pics to come) Oh, and here's the website for the band, it's Spanish but fuck it you can hum along if you don't know the words! LOL! The song "Heridas" is ALL the new strat!

Chris, back when I used to earn a decent living, we went to Cancun, and Cozumel etc about 5 years in a row with a group of friends. We heard lots of local music of all kinds. One of my fondest memories of those trips, was when we were in Cancun, and one of the couples we went with had been there about 20 times and some of the local joints we went to actually KNEW them from being there before. We went out to dinner one night and it was a total setup. There was a 4 piece acoustic band playing live and they were coming to our table asking for requests. The guy who'd been there 25 times said "Ask Howie for a request" and being the fun loving moron that I am, I said " Do you know any Ozzie Osbourne" which is a quote off a funny commercial here.... They proceeded to play a version of "I don't know" that brought the house down. The guy on the "bass box" was playing the intro and I was ROLLING. It was great.
THEN, he comes over to out table, grabs a tortilla shell from the basket, and bites the end off, and shakes his head from side to side... as if he were doing the "bat" thing. They got a nice tip from me!
But I digress. LOL This sounded good! I know a little Spanish and think I heard the phrase "Fenderbender sucks cause he only plays Fender" in there.
LOL!! Yeah, I remember my couple of trips to Cancun. At least, some of it! ;) ;D
