3 minutes in.  hmmmm
yeah, kinda different... but I also heard a lot of the same in there. worry not, I'll buy it and report. ;)
That was a pretty cool song.  And for some reason that led me to this "related" video...

It's John Mayer, teaching his version of Crossroads, and yeah, he dorks out in the beginning, and yeah, now he's dating Katy Perry, but then he was kind of a cool guitar geek... and in this video he's clearly using some kind of bad-ass fuzz face, with the guitar volume rolled off, and it's amazing sounding and he's killing it...
I've seen him do some pretty excellent hendrix/SRV stuff on the tubes -- his earlier original stuff didn't catch my ear at the time, but what I've seen of him in the last few years... he's pretty cool!
ironsheep — Oct 30, 2013yeah, kinda different... but I also heard a lot of the same in there. worry not, I'll buy it and report. ;)

Yep.  It definitely is their sound.  But I'm constantly going back and playing their albums so this one will get added soon!  :)
I'm listening to "Black" on Grooveshark right now... and it sounds like friggin ironsheep! I guess i shouldn't be surprised.

edit--apparently it's a different plankton? but they sound strangely like ironsheep...
maybe it's another new track? no "black" on any of the other releases... and every other plankton band I've found on YouTube was from a totally different style. huh... was it good?
this is the performance that made me rethink mayer... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjnKrlnx_Ks

good stuff in there.

but I bought the DVD for Robert Randolph... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRCyTzXRJBw

If you find the RIGHT Robert Randolph, you'll know why I said he is the Jimi Hendrix of steel guitar.  Just crazy incredible playing.
available on iTunes and amazon digitally now! I'm waiting till I can get the cd though... :(
Holy crap!  Link overload.  Then I went and threw my hip out doin' The March. ;D ;D  Good stuff guys.
