Thanks to Amazon not having a clue, you can buy Djam Karet's new 2013 album "The Trip" for only $0.99!  Why?  Because it only has ONE 47 minute long song on it and they only charge $0.99 per song.

When you combine that with the fact that this song is absolutely awesome, well, there you go!  :)

Here's the link:  http://www.amazon.com/Trip-Djam-Karet/dp/B00CXVUARC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1385372179&sr=8-1&keywords=djam+karet+the+trip

For those of you who have never heard Djam Karet, here's the first 14 minutes of their new album:  ::)

hmm, I'd never heard of them... pretty cool sounds but probably too zen for me.
I have never heard of them, but since you said it would be the best way to spend $.99, I splurged.  That was before you posted this sample.  I haven't had a chance to listen to either yet.

I sure hope I don't find there was a better way to spend 99 cents.  I'll be mad!!! :D

I look forward to checking out the album when I have time later today or tomorrow.

Good point.  I forgot that we're never sure what Howie is willing to do for under a buck!  ;D
hmmmmmm..... Deano, I'm thinking you may want to burn a bowl before visiting this.  A BIG bowl, at that.   ;)
"Jam Carrot" -  I can dig that.

I wish they did a little more "jamming", though, and a lot less synth-navel-gazing.
I was looking at it the other way, like they put the J in there so it wasn't Dam Carrot!   :)

They do Charger, but you have to spend the 99 cents for that.  LOL

Very Trippy for sure.  Reminds me of a trip to Baltimore where I wound up huddled behind a Coke Machine after a bout with some PCP laced "Killer Weed".

Some pretty tasty guitar playing 20 to 25 min. in.

I promise not to be like that little bastard on the bicycle in Jay and Silent Bob. "I want My 99 cents" ;D
I'm on my fourth listen of the full album.  I can tell there are parts that are not for everyone, but if you like psychedelic prog that's kind of cross between old Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd, well...  :)

Personally, I would gladly have paid the $13.42 for the album, but for only $0.99?  I'm all over it!

I FINALLY sold something that has been up on fleaBay for several months (non-music gear) so I've decided that most, if not all, of the proceeds will be going to new music.  I've just discovered Primal Scream (and a couple of others) so I'll be increasing my Prog collection a bit with some things I've overlooked.  However, I already got the new Dream Theater and the new Berlin CD so it's not all older stuff.
