I put a cpl of my silly tunes up on myspace:

Don't expect too much.  I'm no singer tho I gave it a shot and my guitar playing is prolly closer to the "_____ shreds" series but y'all may get a laugh out of it.  I know I did doing it.

Careful there!  Howie's sexuality is too fragile to understand playing around so he'll probably start making fun of the fact that you wear makeup!  ;)

Just listening to Social Chameleon.

As for your vocal criticisms, I'd say they're unfounded.  You have a very usable voice.  It's killing me that I can't think of who it reminds me of (a LOT) - someone from the New Wave genre, but I never was able to think of another song while one is playing...

Nothing to say against the rest of your song either!  Lyrics were good, song structure and production as well!  Good job!  :)

Catacomb Lifestyle is giving me so many flashbacks to other songs I can't even name them all.  There's some Beatles and Bowie influences there, Smashing Pumpkins, Janes Addiction and who knows what else!

Silver Lake Debutants - Lots of things to like in here too (even if I don't necessarily like a semi-rap style - it definitely works for you).  I loved the synth beginning and seemed to pick up bits and pieces of everything from Oingo Boingo to No Doubt in there.

Noice!  8-)
Cool. Lotsa good stuff for me to steal here.  ;D
That there's Peruvian knit makeup.  heh heh

Thanks for checking it and the kind words.  We have been working on this stuff off and on for way too many years and way more off than on.  I'll try to put more up soon now that a bunch are done.
Great songs - cool production.

sort of reminds me of a maybe a bastard cross breed  of Zappa and Alice Cooper with a touch of the Eels.

S'what I do:

I luvz me some Zappa that's fo sho, the man and much of the music.  This first album is defny on the rock side but the next one is all over the map.

Thanks again you guys for the support.
very kewl stuff.
Thanks man!
Good stuff, Binge.

Plus, Kiss revisited on the indentity thing!   ;D ;D
Thanks Howie!  I really dug KISS when I was like 7 years old.  I guess I was part of the target audience he heh.  I remember asking for and getting KISS ALIVE II around that time, but I also got and dug A Night at Studio 54 and the Lenny and the Squigtones album so go figure.

I remember going into a music store with my pops back then, he's a guitar player as well, and seeing the Destroyer song book.  This was the first time I became aware of the idea that you could learn songs from a book and I asked my dad to buy it so he could learn Kiss songs.  Without missing a beat he told me "I don't need to a book to play those tunes"  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
I learned how to play guitar on that stuff.  My friends were astounded because I could play it.  I quickly realized it was much harder to learn a Zep song, or Jimi song, but the Kiss stuff was easy.
I had a friend in high school that said it takes longer to put on KISS makeup than to learn one of their songs!  LOL! ;D
heh heh  I remember seeing a behind the scenes of their tour, I think it was the biggest one going at the time, on 3 2 1 Contact.  Am I showing my age or what. hahahahahahahahahahahah
I'm hearing a lot of Bowie - spacey. Reminds me a little of what Spacehog tried to do with that influence, but a little weirder in a good way.

It's interesting stuff - really good.
Tripper
Social Chameleon sounds a lot like Stardust-era Bowie... I see that Tripper beat me to it on that one... but it's very Bowie-esque, especially in the acoustic guitar/vocal opening.  Very cool.  You don't really sound much like old geezers to me!
From what I've seen, these kids today got lil to say.  They need a kick in the ass if you ask me.
Threw up some more jammies.  Cheggem' out if yer bored.
