Question for the guys out in the UK: Have you ever heard of this band? (Crush UK)
I now have a couple of CD's from them - including their newest compliments of the guitarist/singer Martin Weller. Turns out that the bar I play darts out of had a big influence on them and they make a point of coming out to Portland to visit. Unfortunately, last week was due to the owner of the bar (Don Younger of the Horse Brass) kicking the bucket. My business partner has been very well known there for many years and my name is on the walls of the main dart room more than anyone elses so we were pretty busy with people calling to find out stuff.
Turns out the guitarist flew out for the owner's wake - wow... I was content enough to simply drink the Rogue beer that was created for him and his brother (the official house beer of the Horse Brass) called Younger's Special Bitter (or "YSB"). The Imperial version is even better - love it!
Interesting guy - he was half of the group Frampton Weller (yes, THAT Frampton!) and even played with Led Zeppelin... Guess you never know who you'll run into!
