The DVD hasn't been released here yet but I caught a few clips from it on youtube. I'm going to make a pretty outrageous statement here and say Jeff Beck is up there with Hendrix. His playing is unworldly and he seems to be getting better with age. I must get my hands on this DVD!
I watched that on the BCCi player online over christmas.
Unbelievable stuff - the young girl bassist is really good, and the drummer is awesome.
Yep, Becky has always been the most unbelievable player on the planet and he keeps getting better, scary
I always really liked Beck until I SAW him. Since then, he's always blown me away. IMO, you have to SEE him, to GET him. He does things that nobody else can do. On the album, you don't even know how he's doing things. Live, your jaw just drops in awe.
I can't wait for this one!
A little preview

Not when you consider that Beck is still alive... ;)

He'll be 65 this year. He's not looking too bad
Got the DVD. Beck's the best. Forget the rest. ;)
Holy Dog shit. I watched this the other night.....he played all over the place. It was sick sick sick playing.
The band is hot stuff. Tal....the bassist is really easy on the eyes....I could have cared what she played....but she was great.
The drummer looks like Vinny Calata (sp) and if so that would explain why he is so great.
Beck had some nasty nasty moments that were like, "Get the hell out of here....he is NOT doing that."
Go watch this now.....burn your guitars later.
I have been saying it for years, that Jeff Beck is the only 60's guitarist that is up there with Hendrix. The rest were good but those two were head and shoulders above. Beck and Hendrix had different styles, of course so they are not comparable, but Beckola is definitely up there with Jimi (in my humble but from the sixties era opinion).
I got to see Beck and band last week and the show was amazing! Got some good pic's that you can see here:

Thanks CraigBert! :) No flash was used cause I have a 20X zoom lens. I also took a couple of video's (Nadia and Where Were You) but the files are huge and I'm not sure if I'd have copyright problems if I tried posting them to Youtube. They are a bit shakey in places but are pretty good. I might try to get them up somewhere if I can do it and I'll post details here.
Cheers,

I put the video's up on Youtube. Here is Nadia.
