Just booked our cinema tickets for Monday 22nd and also pre-ordered the DVD and CD.

Excellent, something musical to look forward to !!!  :)
I'm going to order that as well.  Should be cool!
Just arrived home from the cinema.  Absolutely brilliant, awesome.
ok, I'm on it!
I've pre-ordered 8-)
go see it on the big screen too, here's a listing of places where it is still showing in the world but it won't be there for long as it's a very short release. Well worth it.

Unfortunately no where near me....side effect of living on a fly speck island in the roaring 40's :'(

Have to say Led Zep never get old to me, can't give a favorite album, I rotate through them all. Listening to 4 & physical graffiti in the car at the moment. The Rover and Custard Pie have to be the two best guitar tones of all time.
Same here, I never get tired of listening to their stuff as they have it all.  Great riffs, great musicians, great vocal...timeless.
My all time favorite Led Zeppelin song is one that even many Zep fans don't recognize the name of.  Out On The Tiles is my favorite!  Love that song.

"As I walk down the highway all I do is sing this song"......
truly great song, one of my favorites too... but unusual all-time fave pick!

I'd probably go with the rain song but am really glad I don't have to pick just one! :)

edit: this is re DTR's post

edit edit: nevermind, it's pretty obvious what I'm referencing without the clarification... heh
There are just too many favourites for me to pick one....The Rain Song, The Song Remains The Same, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Achilles Last Stand, Tea for One, Since I've been Loving You, Dazed and Confused, In My Time of Dying.....it goes on and on.  I can honestly say that there is not one song by zep that I do not like... They have been (and still are) the soundtrack to my life !
"Does anybody remember laughter?"  :)

Ten Years Gone, In My Time of Dying, The Wanton Song...  Physical Graffiti has been one of my favorite albums since I bought it when I was 13...  Helped pull me out of my Kiss phase.  Funny, have been listening to it a lot again lately as well.
Sheep, I'm with you there too.  Rain Song and Silent Lucidity are my two all time favorite ballads, slow songs... whatever you want to call them.  As to the unusual fav choice, it is.  But just rocks me from the first few notes!  It is also DTR Jr's favorite Zep tune, interestingly enough.

Jon, with you here too.  Way too many that I love to have just one favorite.  This is probably the greatest rock band in history.  (Except for Dream Theater, of course. LOL).

Paul, now that is funny!  Zep did the same thing for me.  I was a Kiss freak too and Zep kind of pulled me more into great jams and and great songs, instead of average tunes and makeup.  (Which you have to admit, was pretty cool at the time).  Zep was my favorite band prior to me discovering Rush and then Van Halen hitting in the late 70s.
I was hoping not to want this DVD, but after seeing THIS video, I'm sure I'll have to get it once I can afford to!  Good stuff!   :)
I received my Celebration Day CD/DVD last night.
What a great gig. The thing that I really struck me, (besides how fucking awesome it was), was how every now and then you would see Jimmy Page or Robert Plant or John Paul Jones looking at each other and sharing a smile/laugh. They really seemed to be enjoying themselves, and were not, as many seem to do, and be "going through the motions".  Age has not wearied them or the years condemned!
The other great moment was after the first encore when they lined up for their bow and Jimmy Page reached around and rubbed Jason Bonham on the back of the head as if to say "great job kid".
Great DVD, even if your not a Led Zep fan (& why not!) needs to be watched at least once..then again, and again, and again......

Completely agree with everything you said here, a thoroughly enjoyable gig and they really did look as though they were loving it which further increases the enjoyment for the audience.   My DVD & CD's arrived a week or so ago and I've watched it twice since then, but it was really awesome when we saw it on the big screen at the cinema with a fantastic sound system.  Love it.
