Just pondering. Was reading late and had random tunes playing in the background when a long Morrisey song came on (Southpaw) and I just stopped reading and got lost in the guitar work for awhile.
After doing a quick Google search to see who did the guitar arrangement, I saw several comments and reviews about the CD the song is from (Southpaw Grammar). What's was interesting to me was just how varied the reviews and comments were and that made me realize that (as long as you're not striving to become a millionaire pop-artist) anyone can write a song and SOMEONE will love it while others will hate it or knock some aspect of it. Ok, there IS the possibility of producing something so lame that it only gets a flat, apathetic response, but I still think it should motivate those that want to create a song to just go ahead and do it!
I still think that the person the music should please first is yourself and, if others happen to enjoy it as well, then that's just a big bonus. :)
