The Watering Hole

Listening to Music

I stumbled on this in a search for some new tunes.  A slew of great guest vocalists.  The first song grabbed me being a The Cult fan.  Ian Astbury does a fine job with track one.  Ozzy on track two.

Obviously not new, but new to me.  Thought I'd pass a link FYI.

Yep!  He's got two solo albums plus two more with Slash's Snake Pit.  :)

I've been enjoying a new one from Tin Spirits called Scorch, but the full album isn't up on YouBoob yet.
Yeah, I started listening to his newest but didn't get very far into the first song.  Something about Myles Kennedy's voice that is like nails on a chalkboard to me.  I saw a live show on Palladia a year or so back from the UK that was OK but had the Myles factor.

I liked a lot of the stuff Slash did with G'N'R.  Especially the Use your Illusion stuff.

Went old school after that.  Zep CODA and Presence.

I have a big job that'll take a few weeks so I'll have some listening time.  I may check out Tin Spirits tomorrow.
The new, remastered Coda and Presence that just came out late July or the originals?
The originals.  I know that most of the albums have been remastered and have some additional material.  I'd like to hear them, but haven't dropped the coin for them.  I haven't been lucky enough to find a link before it is yanked. :D

Edit:  Thanks for the heads up on Tin Spirits.  I listened to most of "Wired To Earth"  and one song off of "Scorch" (All of the studio stuff I could find).  Pretty good tunes.  I like Dave Gregory's playing.  I had listened to XTC way back.  I had a few New Wave bands that I liked early eighties.
