Really nice "easy" progr-rock band!

Just purchased their 10th album called "X". Nice melodies, good sounds and voices.

...the cure continue  :)

They are a very interesting band.  Their vocals are their strong point.

Also check out a band called The Flower Kings.  I like their albums, "Retropolis", "Stardust We Are", and "Unfold The Future".  Great instrumentals and interesting vocals.

Yep!  Looks like I may have to check out those Flower Kings albums.  I've got Rainmaker, Paradox Hotel and Sum Of No Evil.  :)

Oh yeah, and most of Spock's Beard except for the stuff from 2010 on (about when I ran out of money! LOL!).  So it looks like "X" will have to be put on the list as well (that's the first of the albums I don't have).

Thanks for the info! I'm listening to the previews on iTunes...90 sec on a 7 minutes song is not too much but i can get an idea about the music they play. I've to say that's really GOOD!
Thanks again!
youtube!

best thing for previews ever.

if "hey guys, I'm posting the whole album" counts as a preview...

the quality isn't the same, of course... but still, I'm amazed it's going on.
I love using YouBoob for that.

And, to make things even more relevant to this thread, I've been listening to the Flower Kings Space Revolver (double CD) today.  Comments from the Sheepster had me listening to Elegant Gypsy from Al DiMeola yesterday - man I'm having fun now that I can play decent music while I work at home!  :)
I also had this YouTube video playing in the background yesterday - another classic!

Robin Trower - Live - Winterland Ballroom - March 15, 1975  :D
Craig, I've been preaching DiMeola to you since the beginning!  ...

Guess I need to try You Tube to hear some more of this bNd so I can decide what to buy.

?

I've had lots of "Smiley" for years.  But Ironsheep commented about how Paul's song sample reminding him a bit of Flight Over Rio (off Elegant Gypsy) so I went to see if I got the same vibe.  But I couldn't stop there and had to listen to the entire CD naturally!  :)

I'm all over the map in what I listen to at home.  After the Flower Kings I continued browsing through the "F's" and played some new stuff I got ("Four Horsemen" also from the Sheepster's suggestions) then Faith No More, Fastway, Fat Boy Slim, Fiona Apple and a new VA Goa trance compilation called Spirtual Doping (I get notified about new, free to download, psytrance CD's everyday from Ektoplazm).  Now I'm listening to Frost-RAVEN.  Good stuff!  :)

What's "bNd" refer to?
Wow,  typo.  bNd.. Was supposed to be SB. For Spock's Beard

As long as you didn't mean bass and drum!  ;D
So, I've had that You Tube video of Trower on for several says now.  Several comments...

1) It's always interested me when I can actually SEE Trower just how much he uses the middle pickup position on the strat.  More than anyone else I've ever seen!

2)  No secret here that Trower is one of my biggest influences.  I LOVES me some Trower.  To all those who complained at WH Stock about my fast Vai Brat Toe, I'll note that this is another great example of a killer player who has a faster vibrato.  Given that Alex Lifeson is one of my other bigger influences, and he certainly uses a faster vibrato, like it or not, you know where it came from.  LOL

3)  Strat>Marshall RULES.  Just sayin'

4) Trower Rules!

:D
