I liked the unplugged one. I've been diggin' some acoustic music lately anyway. I upgraded my acoustic and bought a Taylor GS Mini Mahogony. I finally sold the Laney AOR from Sheep and the Groove Tubes SEII to free up the cash. Great Guitar!
I've been listening to a lot of acoustic stuff, but have been digging Martin Barre of Jethro Tull. There is so much music from those guys that I missed. I had a bunch of their older stuff and hadn't heard "Songs from the Wood" in a long time, so I started there. "Crest of a Knave" was up next. That guy is an Outstanding lead guitar player, but not a name that jumps out when the Guitar player list comes up. They had many hits over the years that you would hear on the radio, but lots of stuff was just missed by me.
Youtube has been a wonderful thang!
So, there's an off-track morsel for ya.
Just listened to Stand Up yesterday myself!
I'm still curious if Charger is familiar with Poets of the Fall or not. They have some very polished tunes.
I hadn't heard them earlier. The non-acoustic song reminds me somewhat of New Order. The singer doesn't immediately do anything for me... What's most interesting to me is how reminiscent so much music today is of the 80s.
