heh, this guy thought they were making Valhalla Rising music too... Djákninn playing over the film - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZhf98IydQ0 perfect!
other great viking metal from these guys in the sidebars - cool stuff.
Hey! A group I actually already have. Except I've got Masterpiece of Bitterness and Kold. Will have to check out Fjara I guess! :)
Craig, this is getting out of hand. Every time someone mentions some obscure band, you've got 3 of there CDs. You, my friend, have too much time on your hands. I bet you even have the cult classic "No Howie, More Sheep" EP ;D

Sure, I've got lots of unrecorded-on CD's sitting right here next to the PC. ;) :D
I'm willing to bet you that I have albums from EASILY 500 (maybe 1,000?) artists that you've never heard of. :)
have any Kebnekaise, craig? I think it might be one of the major plankton influences... :)

kinda pisses me off that all this great music never made it to my ears until now - I mean, 25 years ago, I used to listen to Lotus for extended jamming weirdness... but this stuff just kicks Santana's ass (heh).
three cheers for the internet!
Yessir I do! :)
I've got Resa Mot Okant Mal (their first), then Kebnekaise II and III (when they couldn't think of album names!).
Just checked and it looks like they've got about half-a-dozen others that I've never heard. Ljus Från Afrika, Elefanten, Vi Drar Vidare, Kebnekajse (NOW they do the unadorned self-titled album in 2009??? :-?), Idioten and Aventure.
Oh yeah, (HEY HOWIE!) I don't have anything from Lotus. ;D
2009 might be just the live set... no idea if there was an album.
Lotus... I meant the album, not a band - I'm sure you've got plenty of Santana (probably even Lotus! lol).
Ah, Lotus is an album! DOH.
I actually don't have a lot of Santana. Would you believe, I only have Caravanserai, Moonflower, Supernatural and Greatest Hits? Oh well.
I'm almost far enough with my work stuff that I can return to organizing my music. Right now, I only have about 25-30% actually in Media Monkey and categorized. There's a TON of old Prog waiting to be dealt with. Yeah! :)
I can't recommend Lotus (heh)... Milagro is a good album imo... otherwise, for earlier stuff, just get Viva Santana for things like this:

That certainly does move! I like Carlos' really clean-sounding piercing lead tone. :)
