Left to right: Manni on bass, Willi on guitar (R.I.P. my friend), an unknown drummer and me on guitar and vocals.
My first real band, October 1967, good times..........
That is a cool pic.  Unknown drummer or don't remember his name drummer?

Maybe we can get Hans to photoshop it to look like, oh wait, never mind :) .
Nice pic, Hans!  Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the oldest dude here. LOL!!!!!  Looks like you got me by about 10.

Why you old geezer, I thought I was the only over the hill player on this forum.
You look like Mac Cartney !!!!    or George Harrison ????   :) ;)

PS  The bassist...  he looks like your avatar ...
That's awesome.
That's great.

Don't remember his name drummer. I recall he was in the band for about two weeks or so. We ended up playing as a trio with Willi (2nd from left in the pic) on the drums. He was a very good friend of mine since we were 6, a very special and talented guy indeed.
We played in a bunch of different bands and as a guitarduo together until around 1976, when he got addicted to hard drugs and we lost contact. He died from a heartattack after an overdose in 1997
I just got the above pic from Willi's older brother Tom, who played bass in a couple of local bands. Tom lived in London for 8 years, where he worked as a teacher. A few weeks ago I found out that he's back in Germany and now lives near Hamburg. So we met twice, talking about the old days, exchanging pics etc. In the pic below you can see Tom (in the middle with the Beatle-bass) with his band around 1965. Maybe I'll post some other pics later.

Damn!  Funny you know, I don't have any pictures of me from that age...none at all!
Nice pics !!

I do but I would not post them with these photoshop junkies around here. I don't need the abuse.
TB is right, the bass player looks like your avatar.

Personally, the unknown drummer needs to lose the suite.  He looks like a dork.
Great Pics!  Where's Ed Sullivan?

The Bottom photo on the post above looks like your back to the land phase.

Not really, Howie, but I got this:

Look at it, it's in good shape and even more important: it is visible!
In the last photo, I was thinking "Hey, I know him !!"...then I realized...

Here is the answer ! :)

Even Bert was a cool dude back then...

and more...  ;D

Hehehe, good find Marco,  I just don't have the sinister look of James Taylor in your pic.

@Jon,   . A couple of corrections: There is no Hans in the first pic (my fault, should have put names to the pic)
Left to right: Fiete, drums, Willi, saxophon and rhythm guitar and a roadie, the band's name was "Kuhsturm" (1975)
The second pic is (I think) a distortion of historical facts, because to my knowledge Bert wasn't on the scene then?
Thanks

I had an uncle Bert who was around at that time if that counts
Any resemblance in look or behaviour to the the real Bert?

Actually....Yes!

It's a shame I don't have any pictures of him. He died years ago.
Ok, didn't know you had aristocratic relatives, so yes, I think it counts!
Whoa....Hans....GREAT PICS!  :)

Hey...does "Kuh Sturm" translate into "Cow Storm"?
I've been gone too long...my German is bad.  ;D

I love those old photos.

I've got a Floyd ticket from Darmstadt in the early 80's...The Wall Tour.
The ticket looks like the wall.
I need to scan it in and put it up for you guys.
$35 dollars to see it....can you believe it?   :o

I need to scan a bunch of stuff in.
Damn I'm lazy...and not too computer savy.  :-[  ;D

Hey, I can't believe you put a pic of yourself up.
It's liable to be photo shopped and someone will put TITS on you.  ;D

Randy
Yep Randy, "Kuhsturm" translates into "Cowstorm". Back then we thought we actually invented the word and imagined, that this is a storm so strong, that all the cows fall over. I learned later, that the word really exists, it is sailor's slang and means, well, a violent storm.
I don't care if the pics get photoshopped. I messed with so many pics posted here (on the WH actually), so I guess it's only fair to give the guys a chance to shoot back.

So here's another one from 1971.

HAHAHA!! Wow me bruddah!! Too cool man. I LOVE the 70's, best rock guitar era IMHO. In that first pic, you look like George Harrison, the latter one a little like Steve Vai. I used to look like Neil Schon in the early Journey, now I look like a W'Holer!  ;D ;D ;D

cgtrox  8-)

p.s. The whole drummer story thing in the beginning reminded me of Spinal Tap!!!
Got any pics, Chris? If so, post 'em (or anyone else for that matter)! I promise not to do them any harm

Hans

Hans, yeah, his avatar is a pic of him.   8-)
Yeah, I have a problem applying makeup, LOL!!  ;)  I think I may have one POST Neil Schon look, it's more of an 80's Kev leather look. I'll see if I can find it.

cgtrox  8-)
yep that makeup can be tricky.

I hope you're wrong about the "kev look."   :o ;D
