5 OD pedals to test... — The Watering Hole

Hi all !

I've had for testing purposes (just this week), 5 OD pedals.

They're:

* TS-9 Tube Screamer
* Boss Blues driver
* Barber LTD overdrive
* DoD Yngwie Malmsteen YJM308
* Menatone The fish factory (for what I know this is one of the firsts fish factory with slide presence button)

I've already checked every pedal and the best to my ears (...and for my taste) are the Barber and the Menatone.
The Barber is really a gentle overdrive while the Menatone has a good palette of sounds and many options you can choose from.. ;)

If you are interested in some audio clip or impression (for what they could count.. :) ), let me know.

Fish Factory is a cool pedal. For those who don't know, it is an all in one version of the Red Snapper and Blue Collar pedals by Menatone. I've been on the look out for one of those. Not real easy to find and usually a little on the expensive side. But VERY worthy!!

Hi DTR,
the Menatone is used and there's the price tag on it... 200 Euro...
Not too cheap for a pedal, but cosidering it has two distinct overdrive in one box... ;)

Checked again...
The one I don't like at all is the YM DOD.... lot of (piercing) highs and less controllable gain....but I'n not Yngwie so... ;)

The Barber is now on the top five ! It's really smooth and sounds GOOD on the both the clean and lead channel of my amp !
