The Watering Hole

Making Music

Ok, so my mind is mush after a couple of very stressful months, but have been meaning to post this since I posted the clip of the Vintage channel in the Mini Rectifier.  I haven't listened to this since about then and now I hear some things I want to change (haha).  I would have posted the whole thing way back a couple of months ago but the BC has an upload limit so I chopped it just to show the rhythm tone.  Anyway here it is:

FIRST!!!!

Sounds cool man!  good to hear things out of you again!
Thanks Matt!  It feels great to be finally getting some songs done.
Reminds me of Arfn Bear...  ;)

Sounds good!  Really liked the intro.

*Waits patiently for the next Boston CD to come out.*  ;D
Sweet! LOVED the solo tone. I'm a sucker for harmonies, very much liked them in the later 3rd of the tune, they gave it a nice polished feel. I was also waiting to hear you rip and you didn't disappoint. Congrats. :)
cool! I like the way the melody line plays against the changes in the chords later on - those fast lines coming into (and within) the leads are fantastic! like the melody and how it works through the tune... cool stuff!

drums... they feel right for level - they're hitting me physically as hard as the guitars... but they don't sound as loud somehow. I can't complain about the sound of the guitars except that I started thinking, man, they sound awesome... but where are the drums... oh, ok, they're back there...  just sayin - a mix comment, not a song comment.
I like itl  Two listens on the laptop at work.  Will comment more after listening on a better system.
Thanks guys.  Sheep I think you are right about the drums...  Think I had lost a bit of perspective at the time I was working on it, now 2 months later after not hearing it that whole time I had the same reaction when I listened to it :)

It's funny, other than the rhythm guitars which were definitely recorded using the mini rec, i have no idea what I used for the other parts - other than some blend of the Krank and the Engl.  They were recorded over different points when I had time to get chops back into shape and then I'd have a stretch were I had no time for music again.
Wow!! That's great!
BRAVO!

:)

Nice! Really enjoyed that. Thanks! Put me on the preorder list.

Mini sounds phat.
