Damnit - The neck p/up of my Epiphone Sheraton II is microphonic & needs repotting. >:( What a pain in the butt!
Hmmm - Instead of repotting, maybe I'll just use this as an excuse to upgrade the p/ups! We'll see. ;)

I know Marco - I had my Les P/ups repotted a few years back via 'pickup wizard' in the UK- only cost £24 inc p & p for both p/ups. It's just a nuisance to disconnect the p/up, send it off, & reconnect it.

The easiest way is to melt a little wax in a pan and soaking the pickup for 10 or 15 minutes until the pickup will stop emit air bubbles..
Just don't use the pan with the wax directly on the flame...or you will risk to experience a napalm effect..
After that clean the PU with some alchool and you're done ! ;)

Use a coffee can in a pot of boiling water as a double boiler to melt the wax.
The Sheridan is a hollow body guitar, not easy to get the electronics in and out. However it is possible using a coat hanger or some other sort of wire to fish the whole schlamozzle out through the F holes, just unscrew everything, dump all the stuff inside the guitar and fish it out through the F holes. (or cut the wires to the pup near the pup, and later on re-solder them back together).
Just spoke to my guitar tech - he can do it for me, & I'll get him to do a pro-set up whilst he has it too.
