It's just arrived from Amazon. It was at 22,9 euro (new :) )

I've used it today to record some noise with the deluxe reverb. It's placed in front of the amp . I've used also the SM57 placed on the back of the cab because this condenser mic lack a bit of bass.

Here a sample of two guitar tracks, clean and OD (a TS)

Oh...the mic is a "Neewer NW-800 professional studio" :)

hey marco - I think it sounds pretty good but like you say, the bottom is a little weak on the lead. the rhythm has plenty though!

going into the 1:00 mark on the jam track was extra cool!
Thanks for listening Ironsheep!
I'll try with different mic positioning and amp settings in these days.
Sounds really good to me. Good find.

The first minute of the mix is what I like!
Thank you Tobe! :)
It sounds pretty good. It's a VERY cheap condenser.  If it was capturing a fuller range, you wouldn't have to add the SM7 in (and micing the back of the cab no less!)
A small step up in price can change the sound pretty drastically...

I don't know anything really about the parts in that mic, but it is likely built on one of the common Chinese platforms, and you can probably replace the capsule pretty easily, to get a darker, fuller tone.
This is the capsule that everyone loves on bright Chinese mics.

Of course, you can go further and get into better overall mics. The easiest way to get into this without killing your bank account is to get one of the "Apex 460" mics. There are 4 identical versions of this, the Apex 460/CarvinCTM100/Nady TCM1150/Alctron HST11A.  You can find these mics in the low $200 range, and they are fantastic right off the line from China. But you can go further, and replace the capsule (several drop-in replacements are available from a bunch of people on the web), and you can replace the tube, and you can replace the entire circuit board. Both of our studio 460s (one an Apex, and one a Nady) have had the guts completely replaced with this kit, and the capsule above:

We've built a couple of these, too:

There's no way around it, it's 12x the price, and you have to build it yourself, but for that price, you get a Neumann-level mic.

The knock on Chinese condensers is that they use low-quality capsules, and tune their circuits for brightness, because a really bright mic can mask a cheap capsule (it sounds sizzly, hi-fi, "radio"). But they are also fantastic platforms out of which you can build actual killer mics.
Thanks a lot for the useful infos Charger! !
