Well I put a rough mix of one of the songs on our demo on my cover band's myspace page. The song is "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon.
We are in the midst of a major identity overhaul. When I joined this band a year ago, we were playing Scorpions, Metallica, Godsmack, SOAD, etc... and for a while we had a strong following. But we are trying to break into a higher echelon of clubs where there are better gigs and more money. So we are ditching most (if not all) of the Drop C stuff, the metal, etc... and adding more stuff like "Play that Funky Music" and "Brick House", danceable stuff. I have been really pushing this direction for a while and we just acquired a new singer who left a "dance band" to play with us. This new direction is a difficult one because my other guitarist (the only original member left) really likes the super heavy distortion, scooped mids, and chorus/flanger combo on every clean part. Trying to get him to mellow out.
Anyhow the demo was done in a practice studio with 13 tracks, I did this rough mix. We had one hour for $30 to just get as much recorded as possible then he gave me the AIFF files to mix at home. We got 11 songs done in that hour, so I am just in the process over the next couple weeks of mixing and stuff.
I used my Vetta, mic'd with s Sennhieser e906. My other guitarist used his B52 half stack and his pedal board. I play the little single not ostinato type part and he plays the chords you hear with an almost ska rhythm and the modulation. The little bent notes in the chorus are me and the Vetta.
Sorry to send yall to a myspace page to hear it but since it is a cover I didn't think putting it on soundclick was a good idea.

It is the only song on the page. and no, it is not the final mix.
