Yes sports fans, from our humble beginnings as forumites at the old Line 6 forum, I now bring you full circle to some good old fashion "post your line 6 patches here" goodness.  Only now, we are playing in HD.   ;)

Jon, Lance, Dar (yes, he joined the club) and anyone else with an POD HD, here is the Dr Z patch I made.  As will all patches, tweak to your guitar, ears or needs.  This one was done for single coils.

I have a bunch more that are all "works in progress" that I already sent Jon.  When more of you join in the HD craze, I can post them up.  For now, here is the one I promised Jon in his thread.

Jon, have you tried any of the dual amp patches using the Dr. Z and Treadplate, that I sent you?  Some of VERY cool and the volume pedal controls the level of the Tread, so it morphs from all Dr Z to Dr Z plus Treadplate.  Very cool stuff.
Sounds like fun!  Just send me a POD HD and I'll get started!    ;D
you'd enjoy this thing.  Pretty cool!  I'm sure you'll have one before long.
Maybe, but right now I can't help but think "Why?"  I'm one of the few here who's currently happy with his tube amps.  :)
also a member of the few.

good luck with the pods though, I like listening to the clips.

+1 to all of that...  :)
actually I'm very happy with my tube amp too but it's just so damn difficult to get the recoded sounds that I want without really cranking the amp to get the room really coming to life, so until I aquire a sound proofed room there's no choice...  There's no doubt though that the HD is so much further ahead than any pod that has come before it.
Jon,  Note on the patch.  I have a plate on it for "guitar in the room" sounds.  If you're going to record it you'll probably want to turn that off and use some verb in the DAW as you usually do.  Also, note the OD I decided on.  ;)  I did this patch about a week before you did yours and selection the colorsound as well.  I have a bit more gain on it, but it I also liked how it sounded with the Z.
I'm happier than I've ever been with my tube amps sounds.  I have a Budda, a Tweaker and some good effects.

I needed a direct device for when I play at church.  I'm CERTAIN I could have gotten by with an HD300 for what I do there.  But this thing can do more than if I had 3 more GOOD amps and a ton more effects pedals.  The SD18 does a couple things extremely well (clean and gain).  The Tweaker does all kinds of things very well (tons of different cleans to mid gains).   I can rarely turn either of them up loud enough to make them sound great, although both sound very good at "lower" volumes.

But there's almost no tone I could imagine and not get (very close too) with this thing.   Heck, for the price of a good wah, a good OD and a nice delay, I've 20 amps, and almost every effect imaginable all in one box.  (edit, you can drop one of those... I got mine new for $400 new so a good wah and OD pedal).

One of my buddies loved it so much he bought a 300 last week.  He said that for the first time since he got divorced and temporarily moved back in with his mother, he can play his guitar whenever he wants now.  I'm guessing she didn't like his Fender Twin, Deluxe or his Marshall.   :)

I want to see his marriage certificate, maybe he's not married. :)
:)  I didn't realize it wouldn't let me attach it here.  Only JPEGS, MP3s etc.  I bet Charger can change that...

Lance, I just emailed it too you.

Thanks Charger.  If anyone gets a 300 or 400 we'll have to add those extensions as well.

Sad thing is, even if you are a tube amp guy, these days, in some folks eyes that amp had better be fairly boo-tique-ish or you're just playing through a computer/PCB stuffed inside a guitar amp.  ::)
I am a tube amp guy.  So is Jon.  I always thought it was cool to be able to do almost anything, amp and effect wise, with one box.  The thing was, it didn't sound that great.  It could be made to sound pretty good, but not great.  The new stuff is changing all that.  They can now do ALL KINDS of sounds that are GREAT sounds.    That won't ever stop me from having tube amps.  But having enough of them to get the 5-6 completely different types or core tones I want, would cost thousands of dollars.  And take up more room than I have in my music room.

I paid $400 new for my HD500.  I haven't yet scratched the surface of what all it can do.  And, the one place I regularly play live, I have to go direct.  That made it a no brainer.
h5e should now be allowed, give it a shot.
Here is the one I made.

Jon, also, I forgot to note...  the Tube Comp is very cool in front of and behind the amp, but does different things depending on which place you put it, so try both.  This applies to any patches you make.  I made one patch with one in front and one behind.  The behind one was used to give the amp more of a "cranked" feel, the in front one was used as a solo boost (assigned to foot switch).  It worked great.  That setup was used on a Dr Z and also on a Twin patch.
New member of the HD Club !

I was also happy with my amps but I had stopped playing in band and for the joy of my neighbors (and even my wife ..), I got the HD500 and the amps are gone.

Very nice toy, beautiful sound and excellent dynamics.

Anyway I did not sell the various pedals and a 1x12 cab ... who knows... ;)

Ciao!
Marco
Welcome to the club, Marco.  Can't wait to hear what you can do with it!
