Just a quickie early mic placement clip. Keep in mind the speaker is brand new, maybe 12 hours use so far, and definitely ignore the playing, lol, I know its not note-for-note, going on half shot memory here. (=

This is raw as could be, no post eq, no pedals in front of the head or in the loop yet, just the Lexicon in the loop adding some ambience.

jcm 800 and 1st 57 mic test

I guess Craigs comment about my "looking like the cat that ate the canary" in that shop picture was pretty observant after all. ;)

Seriously, thanks for the listen/comment, encouraging to hear. (^8=

FWIW....the chain: Ibanez (Tone Zone) > Amp > 1960A cab/v30 > 57 (slightly off axis, inner side of speaker, halfway out from cap and outter edge) > SP VTB-1.
Sounds pretty damned good there Derek...

Definitely some sweet tone...
That sounds great!
Tripper

Sweet. Thanks again. (=

...especially for the "slightly off axis" tip from Richard...good call.

Yep, cool sound.
Wicked sound - cool - a good home indeed. :)
Oh hell yeah!!!

Sounds really good.

On  a separate note, Tripper, your new Avatar: Are you doing a Mick Foley impression  "Bang Bang"  ;D
