Recorded this rambling test using the Zoom Q3HD handheld recorder(sound only on this test).  The zoom was about 5 feet away from the amp slightly raised above it and the amp was at a loud room level.  It just amazes me how well this zoom thing records. I get better results with this than with any other mic setup I've ever tried.

The first two thirds of the test are using just the clean channel of the X2 (which I really like as clean channels of amps go) and then this a bit of frantic wankery with one of the distortion models on the modelling channel (not sure which one, just spun the dial for pot luck).  Strings are getting a little old so the top sizzle that you get with new strings is not there.

The reverb is from the amp. No post processing at all on this. The sound is as it came off the zoom.

Not a bad amp at all I think.

edit: and the guitar was Epiphone Les Paul.

no bad.  Definitely recorded from a ways back.  Lots of "room" in there.
