Single coils and high gain amp is not a good combo...anyway here's my first attempt with it!
:)
unfortunately, I'm on the iPad right now - will check out the sounds later. there's some pretty killer playing going on in there though!
what amp?? :)
also regarding singles and high gain... if you haven't tried it, swapping the bridge to the middle's tone control made all the difference in the world for me when playing with a high gain setup. resolved a lot of tone problems I had when trying to use my strat with fuzzes and the uberschall. can match the neck better and sounds really great on lead stuff. noise is still a bit of an issue sometimes... but so it goes.
ok, I really like the song! very nice, a little bass heavy but that's cool. the glide synth part is great - the speed picking parts are really good and I was into the lead riffs along the way. particularly like the effect at the end of the lead - that's cool! good stuff!
my guess on the amp... not going to make one! heh, ok, I'm guessing it's not exactly an amp... though there might be an amp involved... ?
Sounds good and great playing but I would guess the amp is something to do with the ipad. :)
Thanks for listening and for the comments!
The right subject of this thread should be "First attempt with my noisy amp..plugin".
It's Guitar Rig 5. Not a bad amp sim. I've played and "mixed" the take using the headphones at 1:00 am....not the right time to listen to it thru my main system. :)
Listened again this mornig....mmm...I've to tweak the EQ settings and my ears for sure!
remixed...and tuned the guitars.
It seems to sounds a bit better now.....at least, I hope so! :)
I like it better without as much low end congestion. (this one)
the lead is (still) great! :)
Thanks a lot for your patience, IronSheep ! :)
I really like this, all of it. Love the synth melody at the beginning too.
All round very good job.
