I'm quite pleased with this, the dynamics are there where you roll off the volume and pick lightly and certainly there when you dig in.

First Clip Outstanding sound, playing was cool as well.

Second clip outstanding tone, playing was also cool.

It is true the HD500 does come real close to a real tube amp sound. Nice.......

Sounds like your having a lot of fun though, I really like the part that starts at the 2:00 mark.  I could enjoy wailing around with that tone for quite a while (provided I could actually play like that of course).  ;)

two more tests. I whole heartedly agree that my playing absolutely stinks in all of these tests, but I'm too wrapped up in the "sounds", looking for that "bloom" sound...which I think I have found (might change my mind in a day or two).

I'm digging these Jon, keep 'em coming...  A bit more drive and bottom than Pagey ever had - I've been listening to How the West was Won a lot lately.  That said I think I like your tone better and it is close...

Thanks for your comments Paul.   Trying to get page's tone is difficult as most of it definitely is in his fingers as his live tone is a very clean tone, not much drive at all, it's his fingers that make it sound so fluent, hence I use a bit more drive as my fingers get mangled otherwise.  Having said that, cleaning up the tone with a bit of compression at the front doesn't sound too bad.  The following clip is just that, although a bit bass heavy.  I kick in a distortion at some point too...not sure which one!
