Hi all!
After some day of test of the Helix Native plugin, I've ordered the real one! (LT version) :)
Nice piece of gear, good sounds and good dynamics. I'm back to the digital realm ! :D

Here a short clip I've recorded today.

Sounds good and sounds like you were having fun!
Thanks for listening Tobe!
Yes, playing without the "handbrake" because of the volume is priceless!! :)
Now I can crank the amp (ok...a reproduction of it..) without annoying anybody! ...not considering the peoples who listen to my mp3 files.. :)
Sounds good.  I like your playing.  I looked at the plug-in when I got the email from Line 6.  I didn't try it.  I looked at the price and thought it too steep for me.  I couldn't see where it was going to offer me a bunch more than I get from the other Guitar plugins I have.

I looks great and I would probably buy it if I had the extra coin.  I may look at it later down the road when they have a fire sale or something.
Thank you DM!
I've downloaded the trial version of Helix Native and I've three days left to play with it! :)
It's a very good plugin and I'm with you about the price. With AT4 I can buy a single amp or a cab or a pedal... I don't know why Line6 don't follow this strategy with its software.

Great stuff! I have the Helix Floor and absolutely love it. I haven't tried the plugin yet, but at just $99 for me (because I bought the Helix Floor), I'm almost 100% sure I'll get it for recording.

The dynamics and feel of the HX models are miles ahead of anything Line 6 has ever done before.

Hey Marco,

Sounds good.  I downloaded the plugin the other day but have since deleted it.  I was just curious as to what it sounds like compared with the Helix floor unit that I have.  Sounds similar but I can't really play through the plugin in real time as the latency issue on my laptop (which is only 6 months old) is irritating to say the least.  I won't be buying the plugin as I have no real need for it as I have the floor unit.   Very pricey at $399 - way too much for a plugin, although as a helix hardware owner I could get it at $99.

My only gripe with the Helix in general is the cab sims as usual, just not lifelike really at all. You can of course load IR's into the hardware which I do sometimes, but my preferred way is to put a hardware EQ unit in one of the loops after the amp sim and sculpt the sound with the eq pedal and not use a speaker sim at all.  Makes playing feel more natural to me.  If recording, I then record the full range speaker with mics. It then really does sound like a real amp.

Had my Helix quite a while now and it's still a keeper, which is amazing for me as I would have thought I would have moved on to something else by now  :)

The convenience of the floor unit is brilliant, much better than dicking around with vst amp sims etc.
I've seen some wicked demos of Helix.  Right now I'm using Amplitube with the cabs from Recabinet and that seems to do the trick... it's been a long road to get here. I am pretty down on Line6 because I have owned Echo Farm, Amp Farm, and Pod Farm, and several pieces of gear that enabled plugins, and they have all gone down the path of requiring compulsory ~$200 upgrades. I can't use any of them now without paying. I hate paying for things twice.  So I'e left the L6 camp for now.
That sounded great Lwb.
I have the helix floor which I think is great, my wife brought it for me the Xmas it was released. Playing “live” at home I use the 4 cable method with my amp, and run another signal path into a pair of monitor speakers with an amp sim, or two. It sounds killer, huge sound.
