I was laying down some funk guitar stuff to it...is there any free easy to use software that would let me record some stuff over this? (I'm a complete recording nunce i'm afraid! :-[)
Sounds nice! Maybe a touch on the "midi sounding" side with the backing, but I understand it's just a cover and not an original piece created from the ground up.
I usually don't even bother listening to "home recorded" vocal tunes because way more often than not, they come off with that dreaded karaoke vibe, probably because people use too much verb thinking it'll sound more "pro" that way, lol....but not here, you guys avoided that! Props.
Like Vox said, it sounds sooo tempting to lay down guitar lines over those opening bars.

Kabala yep it was a MIDI file. I was not into learning that tune and building it up from the ground up. Although I could have done the piano, bass and drums in a composition program, but I did not think it would come out any good, as Grace is the only singer/musician in the family. Surprisingly it was decent.......
