Well I have officially taken over the rag tag high school drumline.  I've had the itch for some time to get back into drum Corp style drumming.  Had a parent come to school last week a beg me to talk to the high scoop director.  He was thrilled with my drum lineage and tomorrow I start.  I'm damn excited about this.  I get free reign and get to build this how I wish.
The best part is you can put the drumsticks on the dashboard of your car and park in the handicap spaces!  :D

Cool amigo, have a good time with it.
BAND GEEKS UNTIE!!!
Well I must say.  My drumline had humble humble beginnings.  They straight up had no clue how to play correctly.  But in teh course of a week we were able to jump up 25 points which is phenomenal gain.

First competition I went with them to and under my leadership, after they had already done two shows without me....they had a lowly 51.  this past week we gotta 76.  Which ain't were I want it to be....BUT....in a matter of a week....that's fuckin' huge.  I'm really proud of those little monkeys.

The attitude is having a major shift and we are starting to play like a unit instead of a bunch of half assed individuals.  I am pretty fucking stoked.  But I'm still gonna be a task master.  I want what I want....I ain't settling for shit.

I'm just hoping that was not your inspirational speech you gave before the competition!   :o   :D :D

Nah, he said, "If ya don't score better, I'm going to play hide-the-drumstick!!"  HAHA!!
I do not with hold the facts from my line.  I call it like I see it.  Honesty is the ONLY policy.  That and slave like drumming conditions.

Hey it works.  They have become more focused and dsciplined and it's been a nice fast turn around.  They all bought into my style of doing things AND the SEE the results already.  They gimme X I give'em Y.  It's a lovely thing.

hell, first compition I went to I told them, "Hey you wanna see a REAL drumline?"  they said yeah....and I took them on a field trip to follow around a high school line that plays DCI level stuff.  They were humbed immediately but they could see the things they were doing different than we were.  They say what military precision looked like and heard what it sounded like.  They took notes and we have lived in teh woodshed ever since.
