I upgraded to Sonar 8.5 from 6, mostly because I get Dimension Pro and other perks. I am on SP1 and 8.5 requires SP3 so I may not put that part on. But I could upgrade my OS as well. But it works soooo goooood as is. I have my OS and Apps drive Imaged so I can always go back.
Nice! I'm still on SONAR 4 Producer and will be until I get a new PC with much bigger balls and memory...
I skipped 4 I went from 3 to 5 then six a few weeks later. It was one of those buy 5 now and get 6 free. My daw was built in 2003 it is a P4 3.2 gig with 2 gigs of RAM. It works great, no need to do a thing. But I was tempted yesterday so I pulled the trigger
