I went ahead and bought a channel switcher so I could play my GNX2 for harmonies. It is a cheapo Electro Harmonix Switch Blade. I have one lousy song where I play harmonies and I was tired of switching off the amp and replugging in the guitar to the GNX2. Anyways I got the thing today and low and behold it introduces a hum when I punch in my Tube distortion stomps which is on the A side of the switcher while the GNX2 is on the B side. I have everything plugged into one power strip including the amp. That sucks as I have to pay the return shipping on the Switch Blade and then buy an expensive harmony device or bag that one song which is more attractive to me at this stage.
Personally, I'd ditch the song DBM - sounds like its more trouble than its worth! ::)
Sorry for your woes, Harv.  You just never know until you try.  Sometimes it works like you want it to and sometimes it doesn't.

I have been looking at the Digidech Harmony Man lately and the Youtube demos sound great.  I have never done much harmony work so I can't really justify spending $300 on the pedal.  But that doesn't stop the GAS.

Have you or anyone else tried one of these yet?
Never tried the Harmony Man although I have drooled over it many times but I ain't spending three hundred bucks on a one trick pony. Ok so it does 4 presets, so it is a four trick pony.
