here's my son on drums, me on guitar and son's friend on bass with our first attempt at in my time of dying all the way through at the reharsal rooms near where I live. Should have changed the strings as they were very old and a bit dead sounding and my slide work was not as fluid as it should be, but not too shabby for a first go at this.
So for your pain or pleasure here it is

wrapped up... that was great, nice job you three - thanks for posting, really enjoyed it!
If my strings should fail me, Lord... Please meet me with another pair.
That was excellent!.. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your encouraging comments. I lost it a bit near the end, concentrating so hard as to where we were within the song my timing just went completely. I love attempting this sort of song because it is so long and has so many parts to it that it is a real challenge to remember what's coming next. We will have another go at this soon to see if we can make it better. So much more fun playing with real people instead of click tracks and computer drums etc.
Next one on the list is nobody's fault but mine. Badly in need of a singer though, makes it a lot easier to know where you are within a song :)

Actually we did have a go at that at last rehearsal and it's nearly there, but again so damn long that without a singer very easy to lose your place within the song. So yes, a work in progress :)
Sounding good Jon! And very cool to jam with your son.
I wish my daughter would sing on a jam or two.
Wow! What a power trio! Bravo!!
