Although no one's sure of the exact model, as I'm sure Jon knows only too well (& probably why he wants one!) Jimmy Page used a small Supro on stage sometimes and was a master at getting a small amp to sound huge! ;)
Yeah, the one thing I really like (and have been looking for it for ages) is that lovely sound when the amp is cranked and is obviously distorting but has a clean sparkly sound to it, not a hint of fizziness etc, and the amp is this video has all of that and more, excellent sound. Obviously the speaker is playing a major part in this....and I want one !

the speaker is a big part of that. Find an old speaker similar to that one (don't know much about that speaker, but an old Jensen might do it) and a lower wattage similar amp.... you could get there.
Howie, that's what I've doing for sometime now but can't seem to find any old small Jennsen or Rola speakers. Oh the eternal quest :-(

I'm going to guess that even if you had someone build one for you that it will cost you a LOT less than trying to find a true vintage amp that will, of course, come with all of it's old baggage. :)

Have you looked at Weber's amp kits? He's got a million of them. Some really sweet looking stuff and the prices aren't astronomical.
