The Watering Hole

As some of you know, I have a weekly Thursday night jam over at my friend's studio with a bunch of pretty soulful players.
Here's a snippet from last week.  This is a rarity, we almost never have just one guitar going, so it is more cohesive than usual.
Guitar is me on the Sovtek Mig-60 with mesa 1x12, with my blue strat, sans amp psa-1, and EH Memory Boy Deluxe in the loop.
Bass is my buddy Joe on a put-together p-bass clone (we got the parts off craigslist for around 100 bucks), running through the chain of the gods--UA 160 preamp into UA LA-3A, into, oh, i forget what that amp is, and a 1x12+1x10 cab.
Drums is my buddy Jamie on a premier birch kit with... various cymbals.
Organy keys is my buddy Todd, studio owner.  Someone may have tinkled on the piano too. and it sounds like someone was messing around on the electronic kit at the start as well...

oh yah-- recording is two tracks, two large condenser chinese mics, hanging from two corners of the ceiling, through the DBX 386, then through the UA Fairchild comp plugin.

Sounds real cool. It has been a long time since I had a jam with live musicians, a real long time. One day soon maybe.....

let it run a few times and forgot to post about it. doh.

anyways, cool stuff, thanks for sharing it.
