My Son Oliver bought a new Ludwig drum kit a couple of weeks ago and this is the first outing of it to the rehearsal room. He does the Bonham thing really well I think.

Not for those who are feint of heart ..... all 30 minutes ish of it.

Recorded on a Tascam DR-05 just placed somewhere in the room (not scientific at all, just put it where there was some space)

My guitar slipped out of tune on occasion I'm afraid, strings new on the same day (mistake).  It was so damn loud that it was difficult to hear when it went out of tune, must use in-ears in future.

I used Epiphone Les Paul and Supro Dual-tone amp.  This amp has way too much low end that can't be tamed as it only has a tone control, no bass control.

Oh yes, plenty of clangers on my part, but it is was it is and was great fun.

So for your pain or pleasure, here it is

Good job to both of you! I am listening and enjoying. Must be nice to have a place to crank up!

Edit: Expected Plant to come in on immigrant song!! Oh yeah, that's Jon and Oliver!

Cheers Tobe.  We just rent time at rehearsal studios about 30 minutes drive from home.
Great duo!!!  ;) ;)
I like a lot the sound of the guitar!!
Was that Page plays AC/DC?  Who'd a' thunk it?  LOL ;D  I dig the sound.  I think the recording is as good or better than most any Youtube "live" recording that I've heard.  Sounded like you guys had fun.  I thought that amp sounded good.  I didn't think it came across as too bassy or woofy.

Good Stuff!

Thanks Marco.  Oliver has a nice feel with drums and a lovely sound too with his Ludwig kit.

The supro amp is a great amp, but it was so loud in the room to get the juicy sound out of it that I was having a hard time actually making sense of what I was playing. I will try in ear monitoring next time so I can hear in detail what I am doing. I find it very difficult to notice when the tuning slips at high volume (ear fatigue, or just getting old !)

More coming soon.

Certainly was good fun and will be doing it agin next week. There's life in the old dog yet The tascam dr05 is a great little recorder, and only £75 so around $100 I guess. Best of all it fits in the pocket really easily.
