The Watering Hole

This was actually just an experiment to see how Oliver's Roland drum kit TD 15KV sounds when mic'd up, so no direct drum sounds here, all drum sounds are coming out of the speaker system in his bedroom.  I just jammed along with bass and then added some guitars after.  The guitars are all DI and then reamped using vst's.  I hate vst amps they sound like crap but this was not really a test for that, just wanted to see how the drums in the room sit in a mix.  The sound system that the drums are coming out of is not that great and we should have had the drums louder in the room as you can still hear some of the clicks as he hit the pads.  He really is becoming a very good drummer.

and here's another one....all "live" this time.  Recorded "in the room" with the zoom H6.  I should have turned the guitar up a tad I think, but this was great fun all the same.  Oliver has some nice solid beats going on.  The amp is the Fender superchamp x2.....not sure what number amp it was on the dial.
