This one was a challenge. Broken up into parts, everything is easy to play. Thing is.... all of the parts are literally crammed together. I have never learned such a rushed solo as this.

Heh, too funny, thats exactly the thought I had when I learned his "Hot For Teacher" solo, I remember that well now because your comment jogged my memory, but as I was learning it, it was also seeming TO ME as if it was written and played in segments, but I'm sure for him, it just flowed out that way from start to fin.

Props for learning Jump -- give Hot For Teacher a shot (if you don't already know it), a great challenge!
I'm with you Johnny! Played "Jump" in a top fourty band back in 1986 or so.... Wasn't comfortable with the solo until having played it on about 3 gigs, but after that it started being a lot of fun!
Respect to ANYONE who can play this kind of thing. I CAN'T. Never could and don't have the inclination now.

However.....I'm always impressed by people that can get thier head round this kind of playing. SO...I've started another thread with my thoughts on "THIS" kind of solo. That way I don't hyjack this thread and piss people off.
