The Watering Hole

You may well already know this but I only just saw this by chance, it's old news now but Leslie West had part of his leg amputated a couple of months ago.  Damn !  One of my favourite guitarists ever. Pure energy and what a voice.

I heard Mississippi Queen when I was but a teen.  ("Wrote a little song about it.  Like to hear it? Here it goes...")

Saw a live concert on Don Kirshner a few weeks later.  He was one of the first guys who made me want to start playing guitar.

I saw him live once at a club called The Arc in Boston Massachusetts just before he got real big, a friend of mine was working there and he got us in the back door for free...... It was when Corky Lang and Felix Pappalardi were with him in that original Mountain band.
