subtitled "hey bud, want to waste 17 minutes?" ;)

was testing out my gain setup and have found myself listening to this a lot beyond the critical ear stuff.. so thought I'd post it. it's long/big (;)), so no hard feelings if you'd rather give it a pass.

guitar and bass were one take each (guitar first). it's kinda wandering and takes a little bit to get going... but surprisingly not too shitty considering I had no bass line to play to with the guitar and I'm not much of a bass player trying to improv to improv... heh.

pedal chain: mojo vibe -> ultimate octave (source of fuzz w/octave off) -> bogner blue (on the whole time, boost on sometimes) -> flexi (boost switched on sometimes).  blue with boost on into the boosted flexi is just H U G E sounding.

Just listening now. I like this sort of style of recording, it's what I mostly do as I find it the best way to get the spontaneous feel to it.....jam along to drums and then add bass to fit after.   Sounding good so far, about 3 minutes in.
7 minutes so far, love the guitar WAN001000255  at this point
wow, I didn't know I was doing the WAN001000255 maneuver at that point! like a triple lindy? ;) :)
All done  :). All sounds good to me, although it would benefit by changing the drum track so it varied a bit. A good variety of guitar sounds in there and just a general good vibe going on throughout
agreed on the drums. if I do this again, I'll put some effort into them but on this one I thought I was just doing a tone test and threw it all out after converting to mp3 so I was stuck with them.

thanks for listening and the feedback! :)

Don't know what the hell happened there, is that some kind of freaky auto spelling corrector like when you type joey dahlia ?
An "endurance" song!! 17:35 well spent!  :)
Nice range of tones and good playing as always!

P.S. Tell your drummer to vary a bit his drumming...  ;)

Just change the drum track.  I always play along to a very basic pattern and then change the drum track to fit around the guitar, usually works quite well and gives it a pair of balls.  :)

Heh heh... or find a real drummer.  It doesn't matter where you live, ironsheep, I guarantee there are drummers out there who would crap themselves to jam for hours with you.
I tried fitting some drums to today's jam... wow, frustrating! the beat plays a much larger role in what I'm doing than I realized, can't really change it. and, I apparently play in double time most of the time. weird.
Hmm...  Missed this earlier - must download and listen.  :)

Maybe you could send the tracks sans-drums to Charger?  ;)
bad enough that I'm taking up charger's time with pedal builds!

That wouldn't solve it... you play off the drums so much... get a drummer you can groove with and go start booking some frigging gigs...
...people!?

Man I am just getting a chance to listen to this... Extremely cool!  I pictured you going absolutely batshit and trashing your place during the craziness around 7:30 - while playing of course!  Kicking over tables and chairs and whatever is in your way, LOL.
Tones are stellar, BTW...
Maybe Sheep could do another one of those "headless" videos for us.   ;D

He does videos with his head in them (I've got some, but they're in the Private Reserve area and your membership is still "pending approval" - Sorry Howie! ;)  :D ).

thanks for listening! but I think the reality would dissapoint (might actually have been sitting down during that, can't remember)

not (at all!) similar, but... reminds me of the first time I saw the film from Hendrix at the Fillmore new year's eve show... I was just floored to see him standing there all calm and cool playing... machine gun!! I had a seriously different mental image of that performance! heh. made it all even more impressive though!

oh, it was also interesting to find out that there weren't female backup singers for the "dontcha shoot him down" parts... lol.
Sheep there are men that act and sing like women.  I won't mention any names...   ;D ;D
