new thread... will post them here as they come about.
this one is after a couple days with it... sounds better I think, less face ripping as I get used to it (heh). mojo vibe -> machine -> '70 fuzz. machine and '70 pair very well!

well that is interesting....
machine -> ultimate octave... using "fat" setting - so w/o the machine (or octave up engaged), this is normally a very dark/flat/muddy fuzz sound. not so bad with the machine driving it!

That is sick. I'll have to try this, too, I have a clone somewhere of the fulltone pedal that I never liked. Maybe the machine will kick it over the edge.
Charger, if you have read the description and can make sense of it circuit-wise, let me know what it means. Over my head.... But this would explain why the pedal would "change" any other pedal that you used it with. If it distorts only the middle of the wave, and not the peaks, that's the opposite of normal clipping of any type.
Makes the earlier comment about playing fast because if you stop those notes go wild make sense.
yeah, the UO in fuzz only mode is a pretty big let down. well, it was - I really dig it now!
for reference... that clip had In at about 2 o'clock, Out and Limit all the way up. UO - Vol. 10 o'clock, tone fully clockwise, fuzz at 9 o'clock and switched to "fat". amp is set semi-clean but compressing all the tubes a little at each stage.
w/o fuzz: machine (all knobs clockwise) -> RC (modest bass boost and treble cut) -> wiggler tremolo (mostly off during machine parts)

Yeah! :D
Can't stop looping this.

I just need to send all the pedals I build to you for demos ;)
good news that it was a hit... bad news that it's the last clip for a couple days - separated a fingernail doing it! heh. :(
Now THAT'S putting a bit of yourself into your work!
(And, yes, it's still looping. ;) )

That would certainly create demand, wouldn't it!
Holy cow is this some wickedly cool sick ass shit! Sheep you are amazingly creative.

I think this would make a killer quote to put on your CD. ;)
:D
thanks!
I think "my CD" will look like this: :D

+1 :)
...and equally impressive to me, the bastid never runs out of material/inspiration...just keeps going, and going, and..
finger's all healed up...
so here's a sample of a nice combo... machine -> fulltone clyde wah. there's a point at the end when I hit the '70 briefly (that's the big noise floor)
I'd had it the other way around and it didn't do much for me... this way (machine in front of wah), wow - they can pull off some cool shit. eventually, I should be able to get some of these things when I want them instead of playing along and going "omg, that's killer... wtf happened?!??"... heh.
I think I rolled off too much high end from the guitar in the mix - I shouldn't have, but it was bugging me... ah well.

Wait, that's just the Machine for distortion until the end? I think there are enough cool ideas in this one to make into several really trippy songs. I am truly surprised at how good you have it sounding as the primary distortion generator...
yeah, it's the whole show for distortion until the very end. the Clyde has a little gain on it but not distorting.
A sound that's not for everyone..but for sure is for you! :)
Nice!
thanks lwb! I think... ;) :)
should add, re: distortion in this chain, the amp isn't clean with lots of headroom... it's semi clean with no headroom. see end of clip - that's "clean".
the big change today was being more active with the guitar volume control... makes a substantial difference with the machine response. like, just how much of that 2.5k fuzz comes flooding in after a note... and then the wah cleans that up a bit leaving something of a band pass fuzz effect. neat!
Ooops...I'm sorry!!
I meant that it is a sound that not everyone would know easily use! ( Used google translator this time!! :) )
no worries - I understood you, was just poking fun at myself :)
w/ ring mod! (and w/o!!) ((no fuzzes!!!))

The possibilities are endless! :)
heh, yeah!
only problem with this pedal is that I'm looking at video demos of stuff with "hmm, would that work with the machine??" in mind... lol!
tube zipper, microsynth, and octave multiplexer... I'm thinking those might be worth checking out so far...
Hehe... I keep getting that line from Pink Floyd running through my head "Welcome to the machine!" ;D

They just keep getting better. The way the lead comes in and the sustained notes starting around 1:20 are just gorgeous. And the lead sound is totally killer, it's got such nice flow and There's a guitar underneath at the 2:35-2:45 mark that is just super cool. I'm loving the combination of long sustained notes with the ring modulator. It's eerie and kind of haunting but also kind of bright and lush.
yeah, things happen with that pedal... I don't really know what I'd do without one around, it's just super cool!
btw, is there a way to mod it? mod the distortion shape, that is. like an adjustable frequency knob... not eq really... but more along the lines of a shift. so it could go from where it is now (seems like it's centered around 2.5KHz to me) down to like 640Hz or even lower... would be pretty sweet!
