Came across this & (even though I'm a Led Zep purist!) I thought it was great:

(5-steps up, but the intonation doesn't sound like a capod - but it's possible I suppose. It may have been 're-pitched' by the sound engineers).

I love Mary.....and I love Vai. But I can't say that I like this at all. that doesn't even sound like Vai. I'd say that was Orianthi.

Rolf Harris got death threats after that (seriously!) - & well deserved! If I'd have got hold of him, I'd have done things to his didgery doo that would have brought tears to his eyes! ;D

I was never a big fan of the Zep, ok they were good but not my cup 'o tea. So I thought it was done well however. I thought it did sound capo'd. I did not listen all the way through, but what I heard sounded good.

This was Jimmy Page and Robert plants response to Rolf doing stairway, they did one of his ! ;D

I don't know, I think people go overboard with their fan-dom. I just took Mary's song as yet another cover and it definitely sounded a lot better than the last 50 or so covers of Stairway that I've heard (49 at Guitar Center ;D ).

Disclaimer over, I thought the song was done well (even the lead) though I still prefer the original.

(The Rolf version cracked me up though! :) )
