Stumbled accross this today, got it for $150 from a local pawnshop. They had it marked $250 but my ex-wife is a manager there so I got her discount, and then some. I don't know the exact model, i do know it is and Ibanez SZ series, but whether it is and SZ 520, 320 or whatever I do not yet know.

I do know it has a wierd scale, 25.1", and whatever pickups are in it sound great for heavy stuff, OK for clean. The best clean sound on this axe comes from the middle switch position engaging both pickups.

I like it enough that if I can find another one cheap I am selling my C1 Classic, which I have had a love hate relationship with since I got it.

Here is a pic of the new guitar:

DANG!  $150???  Jeez, I never find deals like that in the Pawn shops.  The ones around here are HIGH on everything.  Maybe they want you to really negotiate price or something, but I see stuff in there that's higher than the going ebay rate and way higher than what you can snag it for on ebay if you wait and catch a deal.

I need to get a deal like this one.  What's your girl friends number?   ;D
I think I saw that guitar five years ago when it was for sale new at George's Music in Orange Park.

If it's the same one (it's definitely the same exact model - even the same color) - that's a great get - I almost bought that thing!

One of my favorite hobbies back before I had a life was to scour the pawn shops in Jax and OP - so many borderline poor Navy people, so much gear they can't take with them...

I don't know if you saw the other thread - but sorry I missed the show Friday - there was just too much going on with the kids and my brothers to get away. I saw your band's name on the marquee at the Roadhouse - have a good gig tomorrow night!

Yeah scouring the pawnshops used to be really fun before I discovered eBay. Now usually anything I find  in a pawn shop I can find cheaper on the Bay. My exwife's shop uses eBay as their pricing guide when taking in pawns.

That's cool about you not making it to the gig, for every 20 people that swear they will be there, 5 or 6 show up. On a side note, the Token Blonde thing is back on. Working on the set list now.

Thursday's gig will be alright, the Roadhouse on a Thursday can be a drag, much different than the weekend there, especially lately in light of the fact that the economy is starting to affect the bar attendence.
Cool score.  I was thinking about getting a NONwhammy guitar awhile back with hummers in it and THIS was the type of guitar that I was thinking about getting.
