I discovered a really cool feature on the Pod X3 last night.
Using the dual amp feature I;
This enabled me to play along to my track with an "easier to play" tone but actually record a completely different tone.
and the result is attached (by the way, needs new strings)
Using the dual amp feature I;
- setup guitar tone 1 with the actual tone I wanted to record
- setup guitar tone 2 with the tone that I would actually play (and hear). I used a "juicier" tone so that it made the playing easier, more fluid.
- I then clicked the "mute" button for tone 1 within Gearbox so that I would only hear the "jucier" tone when I played.
- I then set my DAW inputs to record ONLY tone 1 (remember this is the tone that I am NOT hearing when I play)
This enabled me to play along to my track with an "easier to play" tone but actually record a completely different tone.
