My usual one take press record and go for it solo...over a friends backing track that he made in his studio.

Used a Carvin Legacy Profile and a Tokai LS92 Les Paul.
Recorded into the soundcard that came in my PC...in other words, a total POS.

First part of the solo I use the Kemper harmonizer in 3rds.
Second part I switch off the harmonizer and use the same Legacy Profile.

Sounds great!
Obviously not a good enough recorded tone for this "All Valve + analog distortion pedal Forum".  ;D
Real nice tones there amigo. And your friend did a superb backing track too. Sounds almost as nice as my $350 Super Champ X2 and my $272 Ibanez RG 321   Just kidding it was very well done and sounded as good as anything can be done.....
doh, I listened to this the other day but via iPad... was going to listen on speakers before commenting and forgot about it.

trying to d/l now... not loading... will try again (if I can remember, heh).
sounds ok, I dunno... not really hearing anything "wow" in that tone. playing and ideas are cool though, nice bt.

sorry, no offense meant, maybe I just don't dig the distortion style of the Legacy or something.
I like your playing, Lance, always, and any time you want to play I will listen. In the same boat as ironsheep... I don't like the Legacy.  I know from experience that I don't like it in person as well.  Got a Shiva profile?
Unfortunately I don't have the riffs or skills to do a 'raw' demo, in other words without some kind of a backing track involved.
As you know, once you record a tone within a backing track it basically blends in and looses some of the 'juice'...not the ideal way of demoing the tubeyness the Kemper has.

The Legacy seems like kind of a weird amp, the distortion is very thick, almost dark...very unusual.
I was messing with the harmonizer and the Legacy seemed to add some thickness to the harmonized tone, that's why I used it.
I think the solo tone I used is kind of an AC/DC lead tone...are you hearing that?

Since owning the Kemper and spending time checking out different amp Profiles, the Bogner XTC and Shiva have become my new favourite amps...I haven't tried real ones, but judging from Profiles they seem awesome.
I'll try record something 'raw' with a Shiva Profile.
Yeah, it's weird, but the first thing I thought was that this sounded an awful lot like a tone I got from whatever that Boss modeller thing was that I had 7 or 8 years ago.  Not sure if that's the legacy's voice or the mic/cabinet used to model the amp or what.  There's a synthetic low and mid tone that sounds very flat... also the harmonizer probably reminds me of that fx box I guess.  Shiva would be fun to hear.
