No idea how the mix sounds on speakers as mixed on headphones and don't have access to the main system at the moment.

Here goes nothin'
🎵 JCA22H-JonG.mp3
I like it.  Sounds good to me.  Oceanesque? :P  Pretty impressive.  Covers a wide range of Page timesounds.  You've certainly studied all eras.

Thanks for listening. Unusually for me I worked out the structure of this before I began, normally it's "let it fly and see what happens" (sometimes good things happen but mostly crap  ;D ) -  This didn't turn out too bad though, but I wish I had started off at a slower tempo as thinks this is a bit too quick, would have sounded better just a bit slower and the ending could be better?

I really like the JCA22H. Has a nice crisp cleanish sound with that nice pushed dirt.  The amp went into Torpedo Reload (a great load box) and then the line out from that into the computer and then just stuck Two-Notes WOS VST cabinets on the track (two cabinets one close panned left and one "roomy" panned right.

by the way, I like the name "Oceanesque" - so I've named it that on my soundcloud account :)
didn't listen on the main system... so no mix/tone comments.

I think it's cool for sure but I didn't pick up on the structure while listening blind.

I could listen again but that would be cheating since I now know what I'm looking for... heh.

Not sure what was obscuring the sense of intent and flow of the overall tune for me.

But! I did enjoy listening to it.

By "structure" I meant "MY STRUCTURE"....LOL  ;D.  Not in terms of a song with verse chorus etc. What I meant was that I had a collection of ideas and then I worked out on paper what riffs I wanted in which order and at what part of the piece before I started recording.  I then put down the bass track to a click, added the drums and then recorded the guitar part.  There is the occasional motif that reappears, other than that it was a collection of ideas structured together to make a semi-coherent piece so that it wasn't just random wanking, there was a definite purpose to it.
ah! that's what it sounded like! but then I was trying to figure out how to critique it based on what I thought (wrongly) you were trying to do... and that's the best I could come up with. lol!
