The Watering Hole

The bald singer and the drummer in these videos are the guys who recorded that super-fast video of my Blues band I posted recently. After recording with them, and getting to know them, I found out they have a sort-of-prog-metal-thingy going on. They call it 'Suncrown'. I'm not sure if is heavy enough to be 'prog metal', but that is the closest thing I could call it.

Anywho....I know this board is full of prog metal fans. Here are some vids from the studio 5 minutes from my house of these guys. Would dig some feedback from you 'prog' guys. Is this stuff any good? Since there are several vids...I didn't 'link' them. Copy and paste to your browser.

I like the female vocal much better than the male... but he's definitely good.

I don't know about the classification (prog or not or what) but I kinda dig it - it would appeal more to me if it was less synth-y, more guitars... the synths in there make me think of final countdown sorta... I like the big honking B3 deep purple sound when it comes to keys in heavy (driving) music.... anyways, pretty cool stuff, thanks for the links!

Yes she sounds (and looks) good. Will have to ask him where he found her.
I know his studio has been growing in popularity, but had no clue he had so many foreigners recording with him.

Maybe the South African (white) guy who plays drums in these vids should have set that alarm off. Nicest guy on the planet, and was very crucial in setting up for the recording of my blues band's silly little one take video recording.

New motive....learn more about that girly singer. This was recorded at Crisp Recording....which is all of 5 minutes from my house. Time for a field trip....

Couldn't stand that dude singing at all.  Wasn't wild about the recording.  Potential there.  I can't dig on Christian music though either.

Not bad.  I only watched the first two. Will watch the last one this evening.
