This tune was written to be acoustic all the way. We did some experimenting with different stuff, and tossed some strings into one of the full band mixes. Would dig some feedback on this. Again...this is not the 'end' mix. Thoughts on having the strings in there?

Just saw this Johnny.  I'll listen tomorrow.
Wow i missed this as well.  I will check it tomorrow too - on the nook at the moment...  not good for listening...
IMO, YES, this song is made for it.
Hey Johnny, being really critical, i like the strings but am not sure I like the patch, also think they need to be lowered in the mix and maybe not as busy around the 4 minute mark - strings are weird to get right (to me) because of the way the notes develop over time they can sound off during faster or busier parts.  Just my opinion.  Overall I like them, but have those couple complaints.  :)
Agree. I just listened on bigger speakers. Still think it fits but don't love the patch.  Something stingier and less synthy, IMO.
Great input guys...thanks! As for the term 'patch'....are you relating to the overall sound of the strings? Strings are new to us, so I'm trying to interpret correctly :)
If so...tell me (in layman's terms) what strings work, and what strings to delete. Eh...just tell me what sounds bad and I can program from there. The guy who did the strings can create pretty much create any sound(s) he wants. Yes it is midi synth, so pure tone is not going to be achieved. But with some tweaks we might be able to make this work. Plus I can back off on the 'busy-ness' of some of the parts. The overall volume of the strings will be backed off as well.
