Get rid of the guitarist's crap and you might be able to do something with it. The drum and bass stuff reminds me a little of Gil Evans, but the guitarist just sounds like he's jerkin' it.

I didn't mind the drums, if you tune out the rest there's some interesting ad-libbing going on. But really, as a whole it just doesn't do anything for me - but then someone that comes off as though they're trying to be different for the sake of being different rather than being odd by chance always seems suspect to me. I get the feeling these guys sat around one day and said to one another "lets do an arty thing since not many others are really doing that now....yeah, thats it!" Maybe its just me though, could simply be that I'm "missing it", not been blessed with patience, I have a limited lifespan, I kept waiting for it to get going already but sadly that WAS it, lol. Wish I had those few minutes back.....or a drug habit.

This is way cooler... The Bad Plus doing Flim by Aphex Twin... with the added bonus of being recorded from 100 feet away in a good sounding room... so the drums sound sick.
