This is the first time that I've played in a couple of months...when I say played, I mean a complete noodle complete with the obligitory flubbers.

Very monontonous drum loop and then I added some bass for good measure.

Not sure why I'm posting this other than to welcome myself back after being too fucking busy of late to be here.

Anyway, here goes nothing !  :o

Yeah - but it's stylish noise Jon!  ;D Very nice mate as always. ;)
Are you sure Jimmy Page wasn't over at your house recording?  :)

I like it a lot - what did you use?

I'm sticking my neck out here, but based on a detailed analysis of the recording, and running it through an oscilloscope, and several filters....

..... I think he used one of his guitars! :D ;D ;D

Les Paul (Epiphone) into POD X3, recorded the "amp" with no effects or reverb via the SPDIF into protools.  I then added the "room" and that's it, no other EQ other than dropping the bass on the final mix.

The drums are Superior 2.00.

thanks for your comments...it gladens the heart  :)

Man, that drummer is very fond of that crash cymbal... ;) :D

Good to hear ya playing again.   8-)  Good foray for getting back into it.  Nice 'John G' attitude.
I've just realised the track was really bass heavy, so I've pulled back the bass a bit and it now sits with "real" music from CD's without a massive increase in bass (I picked out the snare a bit too)  too much?.
