I know most of you probably use DKFH or EZdrummer for your drum tracks and that's perfectly legit... Ease-of-use wise, it is a very good choice. But I have to mention this... Guitar Center (and maybe MF) is currently selling BFD Eco for $30. That's cheaper than a freaking EZdrummer refill. I have EZdrummer and a few of the packs, and BFD Eco is NOT an easier product to use. But as far as drum mixing experiences go it is a whole different ballgame. The drums themselves are much more raw, like drums coming off tape without much in the way of processing. But BFD Eco lets you process the crap out of them--every drum has insert effects including eqs, various compressors, even distortion, and you can throw effects on the master as well. And within a kit you can do things you cannot do in EZdrummer, like pull a drum out of the overheads or rooms, or add more of it into each, etc. Instead of the finished sound you get from EZdrummer, you get drums you can really sculpt. It's a stripped down set from BFD2, but even the Eco version contains something like 5GB, and multiple brands and sizes for each type of drum... Again, $30. Get it and even if you only use presets, it will be well worth the money.
