A little help! I can't seem to figure out how to delete saved presets in my DAW? Taking a preset from a plugin, tweaking, renaming and saving one is simple enough, but I'd like to remove a few of those and there is no option to delete. I aslo can't find where the preset file is stored (folder) because of course I could remove it there.

thanks
Every DAW handles preset saving and deleting in a different way, so I can't give you a process for your DAW... but a search on your system for .fxp (fx presets) and .fxb (fx banks) should point you to the storage spots for each plugin.
Thanks for helping. I tried searching for the fxb, fxp files, good idea, but it comes up empty. No biggie though, I'll just live with them, or rename them all "obsolete!"

On Windows 7? Are you making sure you search in the entire computer? By default Win7 wants to search only in Libraries...

If you are using Cubase 4+, Steinberg moved to a completely different method of organizing presets... you'll have to manage presets through the app...

W7 Ultimate and Cubase 5.xx. Nice catch on the search, it did default to the libraries, so sure enough, ran it again on 'my computer' and it found a shit pile of .fxb and .fxp stuff, a few of which I was looking for. It still came up empty for a lot of the waves files I really wanted to clean up. Oh well, not gonna worry about it! Thanks again though.

Waves has their own plugin preset management that I have never really understood... sorry bout that!
